ESA’s Solar Orbiter has linked solar wind measurements with high-resolution images of the Sun’s surface, enabling solar physicists to trace the origins of the solar wind more accurately.

Materialet forskerne skal i gang med beskrives som en skattekiste av bilder og innsikt. Universitetet i Oslo, med forskere fra hele verden, bidrar med sitt solmiljø.

The flyby on 27 November went well and placed Solar Orbiter onto the correct orbit for its science phase to begin. RoCS - Rosseland Centre for Solar Physics, UiO, takes part in the mission.
