The Rokoko SmartSuit II is capable of full-body motion tracking, which makes it possible to control an avatar in a virtual world or a robot in a remote location just by moving your body.

The trouble is that we must transmit this motion data over the network, which costs time. This thesis is about hiding this delay by predicting your body motion.

Cardiac related disease is the number one cause of death in the Western world, including Norway. Echocardiography is the most important imaging tool for the cardiologist to assess cardiac function. An echo examination of the heart is real time, cost effective and can be performed without discomfort to the patient and without harmful radiation. These are great advantages compared to other medical imaging modalities.

Insights is a 4-year Marie Sklodowska-Curie Innovative Training Networks project for the career development of 12 Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) at 10 partner institutions across Europe. INSIGHTS is focused on applying the latest advances in statistics, and in particular machine learning, to particle physics.
