Early Career Workshop

There will be an early career workshop in the afternoon on Monday, April 25 at 14:00-17:30 CEST with a coffee break 15:30-16:00. To register, see this form. It will happen in parallel to the garage day preceding the Annual EC meeting in Oslo. It will be possible to participate, to the session in person or virtually. All details, including room and zoom password, will be sent to registered participants, closer to the date. The Zoom link for the workshop is: https://uio.zoom.us/j/62200233359

This year, the workshop will be split in two parts, each of which will last ~1h30. In the first part, we will have guests from academia and private sector. After a short introduction during which the guests introduce themselves and give a brief overview of their career path, there will be time for questions and exchanges about the challenges young scientists have to face in their professional careers and job search in both sectors. We will ask our guests to give advice on how best to shape their careers, what to pay attention to, and what to avoid.

After a short coffee break, we will continue with the 2nd ECB Chair & Deputy/Early Career Researchers listening/answering session initiated in February this year. The goal is to provide EC early career researchers with a comfortable and exclusive access to the ECB Chair (Jason Rhodes) and Deputy (Marc Sauvage) to raise any matters they think should be discussed. The discussions will be moderated by members of the Early Career Committee. A Slido link will be provided to allow anonymous questions to both parts of the workshop closer to the date. Everyone who identifies as an early career researcher is welcome to register and attend the session. Registration will remain open until the start of the meeting, and has to be done via this form.

Garage Days

The meeting will take place on Monday, April 25 all day in Oslo Congress Center. It will start at 09:00. The meeting will be hybrid. For a more detailed summary, see the program above, or the redmine.

Euclid STAR Prizes 2022

The prize committee will award the Euclid STAR Prizes 2022 during the plenary sessions.

The Euclid Special Talent And Recognition (STAR) Prize, first established in 2017, is a yearly prize to acknowledge work done within the Euclid Consortium in different areas of activity.

Prizes are awarded to nominees in different categories by the Euclid STAR Prize Committee. Nominations are accepted and encouraged from any Euclid Consortium member.

Prize winners will be invited by the prize committee for a special dinner on Wednesday evening.
