What can fractality tell us about the universe?

In the era of the upcoming stage IV surveys, the sky will be more revealing than ever. In nature, fractal objects are all around us, be it from amazing snowflakes to romanesco broccoli. In this talk, I will summarise measurements using the fractal dimension statistic from the latest DR12 CMASS galaxy sample of the SDSS-III survey at redshifts 0.43 < z < 0.7. I will show what the fractal dimension can teach us about the large scale structures and what we can do to ameliorate our understanding of our universe.  Finally, I will show some predictions of this statistic for future galaxy surveys.
