Strong gravity phase transitions
Recent observations allow us to probe gravity at significantly higher curvature and field strength than ever before. This could reveal new physics in the form of new fields. But if they are there, why have we not detected them already with high precision observations that probe lower curvatures and field strength? Strong field phase transitions, such as spontaneous scalarization, might be the answer.
