Cosmology seminar: Øystein Elgarøy: The Fisher matrix and parameter forecasting

Øystein Elgarøy is a professor in Cosmology at the institute.

Forecasting constraints on cosmological parameters is an important part of the planning of observational projects, and the Fisher matrix is a popular tool for this task. I will give a pedagogical introduction to the subject with examples of forecasts of constraints on the dark energy equation of state and neutrino masses from a Euclid-like experiment.
