Cosmology seminar: Kei Yamamoto: Primordial fluctuations from inflation

Kei Yamamoto is a phd student from Cambridge visiting David

Inflation was introduced to solve the initial value problems of the
background FLRW universe. Incidentally, it is also capable of solving the
initial value problem of the small fluctuation via QFT in curved
space-times. I will describe some inherent difficulties in quantization on
curved space-times and how acceleration of the cosmic expansion enables us
to avoid the problems and make a reliable prediction.
