HETDEX: constraining cosmology with Lyman alpha emitting galaxies
The Hobby-Eberly Telescope Dark Energy Experiment plans to measure the dark energy equation of state at z=1.9-3.5 using about 1 million Lyman alpha emitting galaxies. I will discuss how radiative transfer effects on galaxy-scales can affect the clustering of these galaxies on scales that exceed (tens of) Mpcs, and possibly affect measurements of the dark energy and other cosmological parameters.
