Large-scale structure bispectrum: challenges and opportunities
The bispectrum is the Fourier counterpart of the three point correlation function and the bispectrum of the evolved dark matter density field carries the signature of gravitational instability. In a real survey, the measured bispectrum also carries the signature of any bias between the clustering of dark matter and of galaxies. It can therefore be used, in principle, to place constraints on both gravity and galaxy bias. I will discuss the recent measurement and interpretation of the bispectrum from the SDSS-III BOSS survey.
