Two fast declining Type Ia SNe SN 2007on & SN 2011iv in the Fornax cluster member NGC 1404

Abstract:

I will present an analysis of ultraviolet (UV) to near-infrared observations of the fast-declining Type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia) 2007on and 2011iv; hosted by the Fornax cluster member NGC 1404. The two SNe are little effected by dust and thus their photometric and spectroscopic differences likely reflect variations in their intrinsic properties. These could be important in future efforts to measure cosmological parameters.
