About the project
PASIHAE will mount WALOP polarimeters on ground-based telescopes at Skinakas Observatory in Crete and the South African Astronomical Observatory to measure the polarization of starlight.
Objectives
The main goal is to make a 3D map of the polarized dust clouds in the Milky Way. This will be useful for CMB component separation and the search for primordial gravitational waves and CMB B-modes.
Cooperation
PASIPHAE is a collaboration between University of Crete (Greece), Caltech (USA), IUCAA (India), SAAO (South Africa) and University of Oslo (Norway).
