IDL has been upgraded to version 8.8 on linux and MacOS.
IDL astrolib has also been updated.

Be aware that there is a new license regime with IDL 8.7 that affects the way we license on laptops used outside UiO. Se here for more details.
To update IDL on your Mac laptop:
First download and install: idl88-mac.pkg
and then: idl_8.8_astro.pkg
If you run into trouble when installing on MacOS 10.15 (catalina), read this.
