Together with the International Astronomical Union (IAU), students, academics, administrative and technical staff at ITA celebrates the Women and Girls in Astronomy Day on February 12th, 2021 in tandem with the United Nations’ International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
During the Friday Mingle you will be engaged in an interactive discussion on the role of women in Science, with particular focus on:
- role and achievements of the Equal Rights board at ITA;
- public outreach events and activities organised by ITA throughout the month of February and the whole year to celebrate women in astronomy.
But fear not, there will also be plenty of time for informal (digital) chat and eating of self-baked cake from home!
