Fredagskollokvium: Shin'ichi Nagata

By using seeing free spectro-scopic observations with Hinode, we showed the formation of magnetic flux tube with kilo Gauss field strength is due to the convective instability inside the tubes - convective collapse. Dynamical property and the formation of intense magnetic flux tube are discussed along with the convective instability analysis on the 1 dimensional MHD model of flux tube. The down flow inside the flux tube observed during the formation of flux tube is expected to be followed by upward flow, and such upward flow can become shock wave and contribute to the heating of the upper atmosphere. We discuss the relation between the formation and disintegration of flux tubes and the heating of upper atmosphere in the quiet region.
