Phd defence: Functional versatility and diversity in the plant root mycobiome

Ella Thoen at the Department of Biosciences will be defending the thesis: "Functional versatility and diversity in the plant root mycobiome" for the degree of PhD. 

The trial lecture topic is: "Decomposition activity by ectomycorrhizal fungi - potential and ecological significance - lessons from culturing, enzymology to the omics area".

To evaluate the dissertation and the disputation the Faculty appointed the following committee:

.      Principal Scientist Taina Pennanen, Natural Resources Institute Finland
.      Associate Professor Rasmus Kjøller , University of Copenhagen
.      Researcher Ane Victoria Vollsnes, University of Oslo

Principal Scientist Taina Pennanen and Associate Professor Rasmus Kjøller are appointed to serve as opponents, Researcher Ane Victoria Vollsnes as administrator, and Professor Paul Grini, will chair the disputation.
