Conceiving Earth Evolution and Dynamics

This month members and international guests assembled in Tenerife for the conference "Conceiving Earth Evolution and Dynamics"

From the 17th-20th of October 2017 the CEED (Conceiving Earth Evolution and Dynamics) conference was held in in La Laguna, Tenerife.

The conference was also held in honour of CEED's founding Director Trond Torsvik's 60th birthday.

The conference was held at University of La Laguna and gathered 45 scientists from 10 countries. During the first two days there were 26 oral presentations and 14 posters, you can read the program and the full list of abstracts linked here

On the third day of the conference all participants clambered onto buses to enjoy a field trip around the island including to the volcano of Teide.

 

During the last day, the Early Career participants also scientists held their own forum in which to gather ideas about specific projects and funding calls.
