1st Annual DEEP General Assembly

DEEP will arrange its very first general assembly February 21 to 24, 2017, at idyllic Dr. Holmes Hotel in Geilo.

The aim of our annual meetings is to unite researchers and PhD students within solid Earth and planetary science in Norway both for scientific discussions and for social gathering.

The program for our meeting in February 2017 includes:

- Inspiring keynote lectures by Charles Lesher from Aarhus University and Trond Torsvik from CEED, University of Oslo

- Course and training for PhD students on how to present your research

- Short PhD presentations with a price for the best effort

- Poster session with a price for the best effort

- Networking opportunities with other scientists and PhD students

The hotel

Dr. Holms Hotel has been a source of recreation, comfort and well-being since the beginning of the 20th century. Dr. Holms is situated in the heart of the beautiful mountain scenery at Geilo, and is a starting point for inspiring and exiting adventures.

Around Geilo there are numerous opportunities for both downhill and cross country skiing. Dr. Holms hotel also offers a relaxing spa and a center for well-being.

Expenses for DEEP members

DEEP will organise tickets and accommodation for all members. Travel and accommodation is covered. Please note that registration is binding and that cancellations after the deadline may be charged 3000 NOK.

Expenses for DEEP associates

Are you a DEEP associate from outside Norway; we cannot cover your travel and accommodation. But you are welcome to join us!
