ASPECT workshop

John Naliboff, of the Computational Infrastructure for Geodynamics at UC Davis (USA), will conduct a workshop to introduce potential users to the open-source and CIG-supported mantle convection and lithosphere dynamics code ASPECT. The workshop will focus on providing an overview of ASPECT's capabilities through examples of mantle convection and continental extension.

ASPECT is an open-source code to solve mantle convection and lithosphere dynamics problems. The workshop will provide an overview of ASPECT’s capabilities, and an opportunity to interface with one of the developers of the code (John Naliboff).  You can find more information about ASPECT here: https://geodynamics.org/cig/software/aspect/

The workshop is open to students, postdocs, faculty, everyone.

If you have any questions, please feel free to send them to clint.conrad@geo.uio.no or to John Naliboff, who will be leading the workshop: jbnaliboff@ucdavis.edu

We will send out more information about the workshop to participants that register here:
