Youyuan will stay in Oslo for 1 year and this is what he says about the work he will be doing:
"I will work on surface wave theory under the guidance of Professor Valerie Maupin. Based on dense array technology, I will develop new methods to extract dispersion curves of surface waves using seismic noise data. Then high resolution velocity structure of the sedimentary basin will be inverted by combining dispersion information and medium anisotropy."
