First PolliClim Paper out!

In the PolliClim project we focus on statistical methods and sampling design. It therefore come as no surprise that our first paper focuses on how to implement proper statistics in pollination studies.

In our paper, entitled "Do Not Divide Count Data with Count Data; A Story from Pollination Ecology with Implications Beyond" we have shown that by using a proper statistical distribution one can increase the power of the analyses of count data in general and flower visitation data in particular. In extreme cases we found that one could get away with half the sampling effort, still revealing true patterns in the data, just by using the right statistical distribution. The paper is published in PlosOne and is open access.
