PhD pogramme

The CompSci PhD candidates will develop their computational, research and transferrable skills through predefined courses and workshops, secondments, and by working on their chosen research project

The CompSci PhD candidates will go through an initial intensive training in scientific programming, computational science and data science. The candidates will then apply and develop these skills in a research project in their science discipline (chemistry, bioscience, geoscience, physics, astronomy or mathematics) in research groups at UiO. Computational skills will be trained in yearly workshops along with essential transferable skills including Open Science, ethics, communication, management, responsible research and innovation, and career awareness. The intersector and international perspective will strengthened by the secondments at a secondment partner.
