I run for election as a representative for the technical-administrative employees.

Currently I work as an advisor in the study administration at the Department of Geosciences where I have been working since November 2015. Before this, I worked at MN Student Information Centre and in the expedition at the Department of Biosciences at UiO, where I also received my bachelor's and master's in biology/toxicology.

In my position as a study advisor, I work with master's admissions, timetabling, course planning and try to guide students through the master's program in Geosciences. I think it is both educational and creative to follow the students all the way from admission to when they finish as students, ready for the job market! Hopefully, as an educational institution, we have contributed with good professional training that both the new employee and society will benefit from.

I am passionate about study administration at a superior level, with an experienced eye for study matters and a record of justice and not treating students or other colleagues differently. This promotes comfort and joy in going to work, every single day. With humour and an oblique glance, I actively participated in meetings and am not afraid to contribute to matters, especially those that I passionate about. For me, good interaction is important, and as a representative of the technical-administrative employees, I hope to contribute to good interaction across the professional environment.

To the faculty board at MN, I want to bring an overall view and be able to think new and maybe a little outside the box, for the best for students and staff!

Magali Courtadeportrettbilde

My name is Magali Courtade and I am running as a substitute representative for the technical-administrative staff at the faculty.

Currently, I work as an advisor for community outreach and business collaboration, and my work involves establishing contacts between the faculty and various actors in society, such as the public and private sectors, the institute sector, politicians, and ordinary people. These meetings can lead to collaborations that strengthen academia and serve society.

As a representative at the faculty board, I will focus on two main areas. Firstly, I want MN-faculty to have the best working conditions of all faculties. Currently, there are significant differences in the benefits offered to employees at various faculties. An example of this is that MN-faculty does not offer welfare leave in connection with planning days (in schools). I will work to increase the possibility of employee involvement so that the working conditions at our workplace reflect the actual needs of the staff.

Secondly, I will work to strengthen the work on equality and anti-discrimination. All employees should experience being treated in a dignified and respectful manner. MN-faculty is a diverse workplace with employees from different parts of the world, with different languages, beliefs, gender identities, sexual orientations, ethnic backgrounds, and abilities. Diversity makes us more robust and resilient, but it is also an investment, and investments have a cost. I will work to strengthen our faculty's resources within equality, diversity, and anti-discrimination. I want to contribute to creating a workplace where we can benefit from the diverse perspectives and experiences that our employees bring with them. I will work to ensure equal opportunities for all employees and promote tolerance and respect for each other.
