Read-Through Service for Early Career Scientist (FRIPRO)

The MN Faculty offers a read through of your draft application.

The Research Council of Norway (RCN) announced the call for researcher projects for early career scientists already in June. The call opens for proposals from the middle of October and is open-ended, which means that there will not be any deadline for the submission of proposals.

Please see more information at the RCN webpages:

The Section for Research at the MN Faculty, in collaboration with the research advisors at the departments, offers a read through of your application before you submit it to the RCN. The intention is to provide comments and suggestions for improvements within three weeks. However, the response time will depend on the workload of the advisors so we cannot guarantee this.

We aim at accepting draft applications without any specific deadlines. It will be an open-ended, running service. However, we require that the draft has been thoroughly prepared - e.g. after incorporating comments from your local research group.

We encourage those who would like to use our service to send an email to the MN faculty with:

(1) your name,

(2) your affiliation - department / centre,

(3) your position,

(4) a tentative project name and

(5) the thoroughly prepared draft research proposal for early career scientists

We also ask you to provide a confirmation email from the head of department / centre that supports your application.

Please send this information to egil.bakken@mn.uio.no

Please contact egil.bakken@mn.uio.no if you have any questions
