This course will cover the three Open Access issues that researchers often find uncertain: UiO’s publishing agreements, the new Right retention policy and article licenses. We will give you practical exercises, examining examples, and hopefully some insightful discussions.
Throughout this session, we will cover the following topics:
- Understanding the meaning and differences between various licenses used in academic publishing
- Discovering tools to identify journals where Open Access costs are covered by UiO
- Meeting the requirements outlined in different publishing agreements
- Exploring the benefits of an Institutional Rights Retention Strategy and its impact on the freedom to choose a publishing channel
Target audience
This session is helpful for academics that are planning to publish an academic journal article within the foreseeable future but is open to anyone interested in these issue.
