Jannicke and Trond Vidar have published an article on a new synthetic SPM analog that reduce pain and itch in mice

Jannicke and Trond Vidar have published an interesting article together with collaborators at Duke University and Harvard Medical School. In this article, the authors show that specialized pro-resolving mediators, such as protectin D1 and PD1n-3 DPA, as well as a novel synthetic analog, all potently reduce pain and itch in mice. The new synthetic analog 3-oxa-PD1n-3 DPA is of interest as a lead towards developing new immunoresolvents and new CNS-active drugs.

Congratulations to Jannicke and Trond Vidar!
