Gerd Marie Eskerud Harris and Bich Thuy Ha Truong from the PharmaSafe group participated in the ENTIS-ISoP-NFIF Training Course: «Risk assessment of drug use during pregnancy and lactation». Furthermore, PharmaSafe group leader Hedvig Nordeng gave a lecture. The course was held in conjunction with the 27th European Network of Teratology Information Services (ENTIS) conference in Berlin 1-3 June.

The program addressed basic and specific aspects of teratology, some epidemiologic methods to monitor drugs use during pregnancy, and risk communication in this specific setting. The speakers were experts working in the fields of pharmacoepidemiology, epigenetics and teratology, either in teratology information centers, medicines agencies, pharmaceutical industry, or in academia. Some speakers focused on specific diseases in pregnancy, e.g. thyroid disease, hypertension and epilepsy, and the treatment of these.
