New publication in June

The PharmaSafe group has participated in a comparative study between Serbia and Norway.

Hedvig M.E. Nordeng and Kristine Heitmann participated in a comparative study aimed at comparing pharmacist-counselling in Serbia and Norway. This interview-based study showed high differences in counselling of pregnant women by 276 pharmacists in Serbia and Norway: Serbian pharmacists were highly oriented to advice medicines to pregnant women, whereas Norwegian pharmacists were highly oriented to refer pregnant women to physician. Non-pharmacological treatment was suggested by few pharmacists against common pregnancy-related minor ailments such as back pain, heavy legs, nausea, cold and constipation in pregnancy.
