Guest Lecture by Anders Huitfeldt

Anders Huitfeldt from London School of Economics will give a guest lecture on "Counterfactual Outcome State Transition Parameters: A New Approach to Effect Heterogeneity in Clinical Trials" on the 15th of May.

Anders Huitfeldt conducts research on methodological issues in clinical trials and pharmacoepidemiology. In Huitfeldt et al (Epidemiologic Methods, 2018), he proposes a new class of counterfactual causal models that can be used for reasoning about choice of effect parameter and external validity.  Anders holds a medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, a doctoral degree in epidemiology from Harvard University, and is currently pursuing a degree in philosophy of science at LSE.
