PhD student Lene Maria Sundbakk won the raffle for a free seat at the summer school, at ICPE 2017.

The summer school was hosted by the Department of Clinical Epidemiology at Aarhus University. It is organized annually, and this was the fourth year.

The course was titled "Assessing risks and benefits of treatments: methodological issues". The lectures covered methodological challenges in pharmacoepidemiologic studies, study design solutions, propensity scores, time-related biases and meta-analysis. The lecturers were Til Stürmer, Jennifer Lund, Olaf Dekkers, Irene Petersen and Vera Ehrenstein. During the course we also had some practical work and group discussions. The last day we had group work, with the assignment to design a pharmacoepidemiologic study.

All in all this week was filled with inspiring lectures and discussions, in the beautiful town Grenaa.
