I am a medical doctor, with a master degree in International Community Health and a PhD degree in Geriatric Medicine-Health Services Research.

With a grant from Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation, I was part of a global health research team at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health as a research fellow between 2014 and 2016. We developed conceptual frameworks and conducted horizon scanning to detect technical needs and potential constraints pertaining to implementation of digital health solutions (eRegistries) to improve maternal and child health care in low resource countries.

I was employed by Health Services Research Unit (HØKH), Akershus University Hospital as a doctoral fellow between 2016-2020, and thereafter by the Faculty of Medicine, University of Oslo as a researcher since then. Together with experts in neuropsychology, I conducted clinical studies, exploring addictive properties, risk factors, and the impact of prolonged use of opioids and sedative-hypnotic drugs on older patients’ physical function, cognition, disease burden, and quality of life.

I am now part of the PharmaSafe Research Group, and will be working with the project “Demonstrating solutions for studying intermittent medication exposures in diseases with episodic manifestations during pregnancy, using antimigraine medication as a motivating example”.
