Can we use machine learning to predict antidepressant use during pregnancy?

During the summer of 2021, PharmaSafe hosted several summer students, amongst others, Kristin Eng and Janita Ovidie Sandtrøen Willumsen.

UiO:Life Science summer students Kristin Eng (B.Sc. in Mathematics and Informatics) and Janita Ovidie Sandtrøen Willumsen (B.Sc. in Mathematics, Informatics, and Molecular Biology), were supervised by PharmaSafe researchers during the summer of 2021. They used Norwegian health registry data to answer the following question:

"Can we use machine learning to predict antidepressant use during pregnancy?"

 

On October 19th, they presented a poster summarizing their work, at the Science Library:
