Milica Zugic and Elisabeth Pedersen attended the 28th Norwegian Conference on Epidemiology in Tromsø the 26th and 27th of October 2022. The day before the conference there was a workshop for young researchers about the interesting topic of longitudinal analyses in epidemiology where we learned about multilevel and linear mixed models. This was a good opportunity to network with other young researchers as NOFE arranged both lunch and dinner for the participants of the workshop.

During the conference, Milica gave a presentation titled “Preventative association of antidepressant treatment in pregnant women with eating disorders on antenatal mental outcomes - results from Norwegian Mother, Father, and Child Cohort Study”, based on her master project. Elisabeth presented a poster with the title “Primary care diagnoses in patients developing Post COVID-19 Condition”.

We had a great time at the conference, listening to talks about many different topics including how to improve epidemiological research and avoid statistical paradoxes and fallacies, and how to communicate research about pandemics to the public. It was also very interesting to meet others from the field of epidemiology in Norway and hear about their research.
