What are the associated healthcare costs of adverse reactions to medication in older adults when the prescribing no longer fits the patient? How are adverse drug reactions, potentially inappropriate prescribing and healthcare costs connected? How can technology contribute? These were some of the questions addressed by PharmaSafe’s Ph.d. student Eirin Guldsten Robinson in a webinar hosted by the Norwegian Centre for E-health Research.
The presentation was based on a research article recently published in BMJ Open. The article will be included in Eirin’s Ph.D on health economic aspects of polypharmacy and inappropriate prescribing in older adults. A recording of the presentation (in Norwegian) is available here.
