I am German-American medical doctor who has practiced hospital medicine in the U.S. Prior to internal medicine training, I did a research fellowship decision science and a master's in public health. For twelve years, I was senior consultant for a health economics and outcomes research company, advising clients on global models and country adaptations. Before moving to Oslo, I was a guest researcher at an institute for biometry, epidemiology, and artificial intelligence in Germany.

My passion is translating clinical and health policy and management issues into research projects, and explaining the significance of research findings to clinicians in the spirit of evidence-based medicine. I love journal clubs and quality improvement/patient safety projects!

I am so happy to join PharmaSafe as I always wanted to learn more about and work with causal inference methods. After having spent just a few days here, I am extremely impressed with the caliber of the research conducted here, and so I am looking forward to getting to know everyone at PharmaSafe better.
