Highlights of Our PharmaSafe Seminar!

A Recap of Our Inspiring 2.5-Day Research Gathering

We are excited to share the success of our recent 2.5-day seminar! The seminar provided a platform for our research group to gather, exchange knowledge, and discuss relevant topics. Here's a summary of the seminar highlights:

Seminar Themes: The seminar focused on recent changes and new techniques in research, but also to get to know each other as a group. Other themes such as the EVAMEDhelse evaluation conducted by Norges Forskningsrådet, research strategy, and educational goals were also discussed.

Notable Speakers and Presentations: We were fortunate to have PharmaSafe members Saeed Hayati, Alexis Carson, and Milica Zugic as our chairs for the full-group sessions. Saeed Hayati, a researcher and statistician, shared his expertise on high dimensional statistics, applied to the PharmaSafe context. Alexis Carson, one of our PhD students, explored the role of Artificial Intelligence in research and Milica Zugic, another PhD student, enlightened us on using questionnaires and interviews effectively, as well as some of the challenges they bring. Both Alexis and Milica's presentations were inspired by courses they have recently taken at UiO. These presentations brought individual expertise and experience to the whole group, which could be applicable to everyone.

Social Events: In addition to the academic sessions, we organized some enjoyable social events. We embarked on an alpaca trekking adventure, connecting with nature while fostering team bonding. The evening quiz was a fun highlight that tested our knowledge of both each other and general knowledge. To rejuvenate both mind and body, Akhila Reddy, another PhD student with a background in Yoga technique, led a refreshing yoga session.

We have compiled a collection of  images showcasing the seminar's key moments. You'll find snapshots from our alpaca trekking trip, Milica Zugic's engaging presentation, the quiz winners' announcement, the yoga session led by Akhila Reddy, and a picture of the beautiful location at which we were able to spend the seminar. These photos capture the spirit of collaboration and camaraderie that defined our seminar.
