Meta-analysis methods provide approaches and tools to evaluate and analyze data accumulated across studies. Using this approach, databases of all relevant outcomes can be constructed, using standardized systematic-review methodology. This data can then be analyzed using meta-analytic approaches, including Frequentist, Bayesian, and Graph-theory based methods, for aggregating and comparing medication outcomes in populations of interest, specifically to this talk, fetal safety following exposure to medications during pregnancy.
Dr. Matok will talk about state-of-the-art methods to study fetal medication safety, including meta-regression, network meta-analysis, and trial sequential analysis.
