I am a PhD student in Genetics and Molecular Biology at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Under the advisement of Prof. Lavinia Schüler-Faccini, I have been working with the epidemiology of congenital anomalies, investigating the action of teratogens, especially congenital infections. I have also contributed to the prevention of congenital anomalies, offering information to health professionals and the community through the teratogen information system.

I have a deep scientific interest in understanding how health manifests itself among different population groups and in proposing public health policies based on these particularities. The COVID-19 pandemic has imposed new challenges on the scientific community and health professionals, and I hope that by collaborating with the PharmaSafe Group I can contribute to the expansion of scientific knowledge on the subject and better understand what can be done to reduce the effects of the COVID-19 on the population.
