Academic interests

My passion lies in exploring and understanding plasma processes, both in experimental and natural plasma systems. Specifically, my research focuses on modeling and simulating these processes, with the goal of investigating the impact of auroral particle precipitation on plasma density irregularities at different altitudes and under varying geomagnetic conditions.

As a member of the 4DSpace team at the University of Oslo, I am currently engaged in various exciting projects. One of our main initiatives is the ERC Consolidator Grant, titled “4DSpace: integrated study for space weather at high latitudes”. In this grant, we are conducting large-scale numerical simulations using particle-in-cell codes to study the evolution of plasma instabilities and turbulence, while also accounting for weakly collisional plasmas and the effects of auroral particle precipitation.
