Structure physics host the Oslo node of the national Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) infrastructure (NorTEM Oslo).
In addition, various instrumentation like scanning electron microscope (Hitachi TM300 + Bruker Quantax 70 EDS system), optical microscopes (ex. Reichert-Jung MeF3), powder x-ray diffractometer (Rigaku Miniflex600), focused ion beam instrument (JEOL JIB-4500), ball mills (Fritsch pulverisette, Retsch CryoMill), ovens, glovebox (mBraun UNIlab plus), saws (ex.Allied Techcut 4) and grinding/polishing equipment (ex. Allied Metprep 3) are located in the Structure physics laboratories. Instruments are booked via Bookitlab.
