Abstract
The precise observation of the oscillation pattern of solar and atmospheric neutrinos requires proper modelling of the flux regeneration due to matter effects as the neutrinos traverse the Earth. However, the computation of this effect is a highly computationally intensive task and hence it is not suitable for large scale studies of neutrino oscillations. In this talk I will introduce the topic of neutrino oscillations through matter, discuss the challenges with the full numerical solution, and present an alternative analytical fast approach to computing the matter regeneration effects.
