Sterile neutrinos: from macro to micro scales

Alexey Boyarsky, Leiden University

Weekly Theory Seminar, and also part of the SDI seminar series.

Abstract. I will briefly review established observational problems of the Standard Model of particle physics, concentrating on the Dark Matter problem. I will review the current observational status of warm and decaying dark matter and implications for a particular particle physics candidate — the sterile neutrino. I will also describe the prospects of searches for sterile neutrinos at the LHC and at new intensity frontier experiments.
