Quantum cryptography, metamaterials, and mathematical rigor in physics

Johannes Skaar, UiO

Weekly Theory Seminar.

Abstract. In this talk I will discuss two research activities. The first is about quantum hacking and security proofs in quantum cryptography and Bell tests, the other is about metamaterials and electromagnetic theory. Finally I will ask the question if mathematical rigor matters in physics, and give some examples.
