Abstract. After a short introduction about fractional charge and statistics, I discuss recent experiments on fractional statistics in the 𝜈=1/3 Quantum Hall fluid. In a second part of the talk I give a brief overview of different theoretical approached to fractional QH liquids and round of by some fairly recent results in the theory of composite bosons.
