Felleskollokvium by Oskar Idland, Ralv G. S. Holmsen, and Jannik Eschler, Dept. of Physics, UiO

Abstract

Portal Space is a student driven project aiming to prepare students for a future in the technical industry. By developing space technology - the current project being a liquid-fueled rocket - students can develop skills and gather unique practical experience. In this talk, we will share what it takes to build a liquid fueled rocket and the fundamentals of rocket science of both the mechanical and electronic parts of the rocket. During the talk, we will furthermore hear about the experiences of current members, and why it is important for them to be part of such a project as well as the impact on their life as students.
