Om prosjektet
Primary objectives:
(1) Develop fundamental insight into the coupling between deformation, disassociation and fluid transport in gas hydrates
(2) Apply the insight to improve hydrocarbon production and CO2 storage methods in gas hydrates
Secondary objectives:
(i) Develop continuuin models that couple deformation, disassociation and fluid transport in gas hydrates
(ii) Develop atomic scale models of gas hydrate disassociation
(iii) Combine results from both models to address key processes in gas hydrate disassociation
(iv) Apply the models to address key issues in our understanding of processes in gas hydrates, in stability and disassociation, hydrocarbon production, and CO2 storage in gas hydrates.
