At UiO, we are one of the world's leading groups on using plasmas for particle accelerators. What is this cool concept all about?
Plasma wakefield acceleration is a new concept for building more powerful particle acceleration. We participate in studies on how to design a future, Teraelectronvolt linear collider using plasma acceleration. As a master study on this topic, you will use numerical simulations to study how one can improve future linear collider concepts using plasma technology. The work will be done in collaborations with international experts world-wide.
