Winsvold had her dissertation on June 7th 2017 at the Department of Geosciences, University of Oslo, on the theme: Mapping glaciers using time series of remote sensing data.
In her PhD project Winsvold studied changes of the glaciers in Norway's during the nineties and early 2000s by using images taken by satellites. The analyzes show that the glaciers are decreasing.
