Nooraiepour was honored by InterPore during their annual conference in Qingdao, China from 13 to 16 May 2024. The InterPore Rosette Medal is an award given to individuals who have made significant contributions to the science of porous media through voluntary and significant efforts in the international activities of InterPore.

Mohammad Noraiepour receives the medal in recognition of his significant contribution to promoting, communicating and disseminating knowledge about porous media worldwide. Through his role as Chair of the Student Affairs Committee, initiator and organisator of the "Porous Media Tea Time Talks"-webinar series, and as Co-Director of the InterPore Young Academy, he has played a central role in guiding and inspiring future generations of researchers.
Over the past four years, the medal winner has also worked purposefully to support young research talents through national forums and activities during InterPore's annual conferences. such as this year, the 16th annual meeting of the International Society for Porous Media (InterPore 2024).
