Recently it was announced that Sarah Incel from Germany will get a Feodor Lynen Research Fellowship for postdoctoral researchers. Her research project is titled; Experimental constraints on the link between seismically induced fluid infiltration into high-pressure rocks and the onset of retrograde metamorphism.
Incel's research project will be carried out in connection with Professor Bjørn Jamtveit in the research project; ERC Advanced Grant 'Disequilibirum metamorphism of stressed lithosphere (DIME)'.
The aim of the Feodor Lynen Fellowship is to promote scientific cooperation between an research institution and an young German scientist. Incel will be affiliated to the Section for Physics of Geological Processes (GEO-PGP), Department of Geosciences, UiO.
The Feodor Lynen Research Fellowship programme
The Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung/Foundation grants annually up to 150 Feodor Lynen Research Fellowships for postdoc researchers and experienced researchers from all disciplines. The grant allows a research fellow to carry out a long-term research project of own choice in cooperation with an academic host institution.
Feodor Lynen (biochemist) was a Nobel Prize winner in Physiology or Medicine (together with Konrad Bloch) in 1964 (Wikipedia).
