Two scientists from University of Oslo got awards for their contributions in research in geosciences. The two scientists are:
Andreas Max Kääb: Louis Agassiz Medal. For his innovative and multidisciplinary contributions to the field of remote sensing of the cryosphere, with applications in glacier mass balance, permafrost and geohazards. Full article
Mathew Domeier: Arne Richter Award for Outstanding Early Career Scientists. For his outstanding accomplishments in reconstructing tectonic plate evolution in the past 600 million years and in understanding the link between the evolution of plates and the deep Earth. Full article.
